ABOUT US

Living in one of the poorest parts of Jakarta Pacuan kuda Pulomas), in a one-room building shared with his parents and brother, Indra Leonardo needed an escape, and he found that in skateboarding. Inspired by his big brother, Anggi, and armed with his skateboard, he learned to skate at age 11 on the bustling city streets.

By age 14, he was on a bus to Bali for a competition that would ultimately change his life forever. Indra won that competition, and the first thing he did was call his mom to say he wasn't coming back, he was going to make it as a skateboarder in Bali.

Fast forward to sponsorships and traveling across Asia, Indra discovered a brand-new passion for filming, and with that, Televisistar was born in 2016, initially starting as a media outlet.

With the world at a standstill due to COVID-19 and a lot of uncertainty ahead, Indra put everything he had into learning to cut and sew fabric. What started as creating pants for close friends and family grew into making pants for pros like TJ Rogers and Jake Ilardi.

With the help of TJ Rogers spreading the word about his custom baggy pants on the 9Club podcast, Televisistar’s success kept growing. Motivated by this momentum, Indra headed to the States for the first time, attending SLS events and hand-delivering orders to pros.

Today, Televisistar is a household name in the skatewear industry, with skaters from all over the world wearing their custom pants. The brand is known for its humble beginnings and its tight-knit community that feels more like family.

Aware of the fabric waste they were producing and the larger issue of textile waste in Indonesia, Indra and his team didn’t want to contribute to the problem. From this, Fashion Offcut was born, an initiative to minimize fabric waste by recycling scraps into furniture and home and lifestyle products.
